HR - Heavy Rigid

Overview

Licence to drive Heavy Rigid (HR class) vehicles; motor vehicle that has 3 or more axles and a gross vehicle mass greater than 8,000 kg.

During this course you will learn how to;

Drive heavy rigid vehicle
Monitor traffic and road conditions
Monitor and maintain vehicle performance

Entry Requirements

Before you can learn to drive an HR class vehicle, you must have:

A C class licence with 12 months experience, or
An LR class licence, or
An MR class licence.

In order to gain an HR class licence, you must have one of the following:

A Car (C class) licence for at least 2 years, or
An Light Rigid (LR class) heavy vehicle licence for at least 1 year, or
An Medium Rigid (MR class) heavy vehicle licence for at least 1 year.

Duration

One or two day packages available
Additional or lessons only starting from 1 hour
Assessment only approximately 1.5 hours
